Long story short, I got phone interview letters from EDD, all the payment that was happening every 2 weeks well got paused to pending, and this morning was the interview (8am-10am). I was so worried because all of a sudden it stopped being paid and letter says all kinds of scary words like "repay, penalty" .. Interview guy called at 9:30ish so ... Well you have to wonder then what the employer is reporting to EDD about the separation. Laid off usually is understood to mean the employer doesn't have enough work to keep an employee. Put the number for the EDD in your phone, so hopefully you can identify when they call.
