I use a 1993 McKinney/Tony Rice (predecessor to the Elliott) and a smaller profile Kat Eyz most of the time. They keep the strings in tune, are wonderful handcrafted mechanical machines, and look marvelous - I like the low-profile. But I always carry my old trustworthy standard Shubb around just in case - can't beat 'em for the money.Well, my Kat Eyz arrived! What a lovely little unit! The Kat Eyz has a 1/4" screw which makes it quicker to spin up AND limits the amount of pressure immediately applied.
