I solved it in 5 minutes with $2 in materials. Took 400 grit sandpaper and sanded the contacts (both sides, bonnet and base) clean. Then applied dielectric grease (not 100% necessary but should help in the long run, available at any autoparts store as light bulb grease). It is possible that the night-light is not even working, in this case, please remove the power from the robot and unclip the bonnet. We also do a deep clean of the entire unit about once a month, and take an Emory board or stiff bristle brush to the contacts, and clean them until they’re shiny.To close the Bonnet, rotate the Bonnet downward over the Globe, applying slight inward pressure at the latches to align the Bonnet within the Base. You should hear the latches snap into place. Check to make sure the center tab at the top of the Bonnet is secured in its pocket by pushing down on the Bonnet at the tab location.For the LR3 -- which happens once every few months or so, I just re-seat it as best I can.
