Majohn (Moonman) A1 Review. Hey everyone. Today, my Majohn A1 or Moonman as they're traditionally known arrived. As many have pointed out in great controversy, this is a vanishing point clone. Pen-politics aside, here are my thoughts. Pilot tends to have pretty good QC. Majohn isn’t the worst with QC however I’ve heard a lot of reports of the A1 having nib leaking issues. For example Inkquiring Minds who reviewed his had the leak at first and then the nib unit completely failed on the Majohn A1 to which he replaced it with a Pilot gold nib unit. Second is those nib options.The Majohn A1 retractable nib pen has features I like: metal pen has nice heft in the hand and I want that with a pen that has a nib retractor. Feels reliable and able to withstand a lot of use and time in my pocket. The extra fine nib is smooth on paper. - no scratching at all.
