Hi ! Well, I recently went on a rush for ecumenopolis since I decided to try crisis on x25 multiplier (one capital ecumenopolis + mining worlds, locked through few chock points). Vanilla too, all dlcs. I'm no expert, but the key-factors for me were minerals, and reaching "antigravity engineering" tech fast enough.When you have the tech/ability to build them add Galactic Stock Exchange, Research Institute, Psi Corps (only if you have less than 100 stability), Ministry of Production, Auto-Curating Vault, Food Processing Facilities, Clone Vats, Gene Clinic and Embassy Complex with that priority not necessarily that order.I find I have a sense for where I want to end up, but not yet on how to get there with ring start. Depends on my build. I've rested a kit of variants. Generally I pick merchant first after that it depends on the situation. Unyielding, prosperity or discovery are usually my go to for second pick. Your pops can really focus on just a few resources (food, alloys, science, trade).You also need a large amount of territory and planets to colonize; more planets means more pop growth means more jobs and more researchers. Quite simple: the lower this setting is the more the research advantage is reduced.
