The salter worked fine before we took it off the truck and now that I have it installed on the new truck I have power as soon as I plug the spreader in. The truck doesnt even need to be on and it runs as soon as its plugged in. The most likely problem is the grounds from the plow lights themselves to the frame. Take the lights apart and check and/or replace the grounds, wires inside the case take a lot of vibration and that can cause them to fail.Don't forget to check the bulbs to be sure they're good too.
